Villas, hotels, small restaurants in the hills – what is the right location for the wedding?
One of the first difficulties that a future married couple will encounter is that relating to the location for the wedding: USA has an incredible amount of villas, restaurants, magnificent huts to choose from for the reception. You might think that the location is not a problem at all, but you will soon discover that this is not the case.
So, how to choose the perfect setting for your wedding? There are many factors to consider:
The location for the wedding based on the style

Obviously the first thing to consider is the imprint you want to give to the day. Do you like an elegant, refined and a little princess style? You can orient yourself on the castles, there are several in Veneto, all with their own style, from the most sober to the most romantic. A good example is the castle of Lispida.
Or are you more of a boho chic style lover? Then you will surely orient yourself to another kind of location, rustic and scattered around the countryside, such as the beautiful Locanda Rosa Rosae, a magical place in the Treviso countryside, or Villa Petrobelli, which has almost nothing of the classic idea of a villa!
Or our territory has an incredible amount of villas, from the most modern ones such as the elegantTenuta Polvaro to other more classic ones like Villa Caprera, passing through the decidedly eccentric ones like Villa di Campocroce.
The number of guests
Having fifty guests or having two hundred changes things dramatically. If you thought that an intimate wedding was ideal for you, you must undoubtedly exclude large Venetian villas or very spacious locations that would seem empty with few guests. The beautiful Filanda Motta, for example, would certainly not be ideal with its large park and a thousand corners, as neither would Villa Sagredo and her wonderful garden. Much more suitable could be the Ca ‘de Memi farmhouse, small but very intimate and well cared for.
The date of the marriage
Many of the most popular wedding locations are booked even two years in advance of the date of the big day, especially in high season (May, June and September) or on Saturdays. So if you’ve spotted the right place for you, pay attention to the calendar! Getting married on Friday or Sunday is more and more frequent, and often caterers and restaurants offer discounts for those who choose these days.
The location for the wedding also suitable for the ceremony

More and more couples are opting for a civil or symbolic ceremony in a park, garden or even on the beach. It is certainly a very romantic and photographically effective choice, just be careful of a few simple details. For example, the ideal would be to choose a location where, in case of rain, there is the possibility of sheltering under a canopy or where there is an internal room available. Or even, if the time of the outdoor celebration is mid-day, have a place where you can stand under trees or sheets to avoid too much light. Villa Condulmer saved the situation perfectly on a rainy day for example.
The cost
Without going around it too much, the most beautiful and sought-after locations to get married are expensive. Depending on your budget, there are several possible solutions, and I can guarantee you that you can get an excellent result without spending astronomical amounts. Choose Friday instead of Saturday, focus on months like April or October (less popular but with fascinating colors). Many villas ask for a rent plus the cost of the wedding dinner per person, and this is usually a good thing as it allows you to customize the location to the maximum. But if your budget does not allow it, try and look for those places where the price is unique (restaurants or villas owned by the caterers), or if you really fell in love with a location, test different catering to find out which one suits this best. what do you want.
Last but not least: the season
Surely a beach or outdoor wedding has its charm, but not in December! Do you love vineyards and would you like to be immortalized in the beautiful areas of Valdobbiadene? Very well, but then you have to get married in the fall. Carefully evaluate the risks and beauties of the month you have chosen before deciding on the location for the wedding!
